KISSING's Ruined It

Dear Dee:
I've been dating this guy for about two weeks. Everything was going really great, until a week ago when we kissed for the first time.

Ever since then, all these doubts have come out of nowhere. All I can focus on are his faults and the good things about him don't seem to matter and as much. I'm not sure if I like him anymore in that way. I'm afraid to break up with him. I don't want to make a mistake and regret it later, or dump him so close to Valentines Day. What do I do?

Regardless of how it's viewed in today's society, kissing is a very intimate thing! And if it doesn't feel right then you shouldn't do it!

How many TV shows have you seen where two best friends THINK they might like each other romantically, than they decide to kiss and realize they really only have feelings for each other as friends? Sometimes taking things to the next level only proves the level you were at was the right one. And it's OK!

Feelings change. That's just how it is and that's why they call it dating. Couples get together, couples break up. Don't be afraid of what you feel and definitely don't be afraid to let him know how you feel. It's not fair to him to keep him as your boyfriend if you aren't interested. By doing that, you're not giving him what he deserves in a relationship and that's not right for either one of you.

So yeah, it sucks it's almost Valentine's Day, but putting it off doesn't make it any easier. You know what you've gotta do ... and the sooner the better.
