Boyfriend Offered Me Drugs

Dear Dee:

My boyfriend offered me marijuana and I don't know whether to turn him in or not. What should I do?

The easiest answer here is to simply walk away. You don't need a boyfriend who is doing illegal drugs. You don't have to go to the cops, you don't have to go tell on him, but you do have to take care of yourself. And regardless of what a great guy he is, he is involved in illegal activity. You shouldn't have anything to do with that.

You could get into trouble simply by being in the wrong place at the wrong time - even though you're not doing anything. You could get put into situations you don't quite know how to deal with when he's high. You could even get hurt because his judgment is impaired.

Please. You have enough to deal with when it comes to dating, growing up and figuring out what you want to do with your life. You don't need this huge problem thrown on your shoulders - especially if his problem gets out of hand. So am I telling you to dump him? Yeah. I sure am. Don't have any part of illegal activity. Seriously.
